On Point Plumbing completed the plumbing installation for Càphê Roasters’ new South Philadelphia location at Herringbone Lofts in the Grays Ferry neighborhood.
The 5,685-square-foot café is significantly larger than Càphê Roasters’ original Kensington location and was designed to accommodate approximately 80–90 guests, an expanded commercial kitchen, lounge and dining areas, and space for private events.
On Point Plumbing’s scope included the installation of the building’s plumbing systems serving the café, including domestic water, sanitary and vent piping, plumbing fixtures, floor drains, and kitchen-related plumbing infrastructure. The project required detailed coordination with the general contractor and other trades to integrate the plumbing systems throughout the new commercial build-out.
The expanded kitchen and increased capacity required a robust plumbing installation capable of supporting the café’s daily operations, catering activities, and larger events. The project also included provisions supporting the larger kitchen and walk-in refrigeration and freezer areas planned for the new location.
Càphê Roasters is a Philadelphia-based Vietnamese specialty coffee company founded in 2018 and recognized as a James Beard Award semifinalist. The South Philadelphia location represents a significant expansion of the brand and its presence in the Philadelphia community.
